Rose-Marie Floyd

FLOYD, Rose-Marie, 90, of Westwood, NJ, passed away quietly at home on Sunday, December 31st, 2017. Rose-Marie is survived by her Sisters In-law Jeannine and Mary; her nephew Andre and his wife Kimberly; her niece Suzanne and her husband Richard Haas as well as her grand-nephew Jarrett. She is predeceased by brothers Robert and Herbert. Rose-Marie received her nursing degree from Jersey City College and her Master's degrees in education and administration from Columbia University in New York City. She spent a full life devoting her time to veterans; working as an RN for the VA Hospital in E. Orange, NJ as well as being a member of the VA Credit Union board up until a year ago as well as also being a treasurer for many years at Westwood House and President of the Westwood Seniors Association. She enjoyed spending her time golfing, painting and boating on Lake Hopatcong. The family will receive guests at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Rd, Westwood, NJ on Sunday , January 7th from 2-5PM. A Mass celebrating Rose-Marie's life and faith will be held at St. Andrew's R.C. Church in Westwood, NJ on Monday, January 8th at 10:30AM with interment at Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah, NJ to follow.
