Rose G. Ragno

Rose G. Ragno, age 91, formerly of Jersey City, NJ, on Monday, February 1, 2010. Daughter of the late Julia and Santo Ragno. Beloved sister of Nancy C. Ragno, Mary A. Bock, Anthony G. and Joseph F. Ragno. She is predeceased by her sister Anna G. Grasso and her brothers Dominick J., Louis J., Sr. and George Ragno. Rose was Cum Laude graduate of Dickinson High School, Jersey City, NJ. Rose was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy R.C. Church in Jersey City where she was also a member of the parish Senior Citizens Group. She was employed by Merck Inc., NY, NY. She was Vice President of the Professional Secretaries Association. She volunteered for the Hearing Society of Jersey City for 15 years and also served as its Vice President. She volunteered her time at the Greenville Hospital Gift Shop. The family will gather with their relatives and friends for a Funeral Liturgy at The Church of St. Mary, Closter, NJ on Friday, February 5 at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ. The family will receive their relatives and friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Thursday, February 4, 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Donations may be made in Rose's name to either Alzheimer's Association or The Hearing Society.
