Ruth E. Kocher

Ruth E. of West Milford, NJ formerly of Montvale, NJ on Monday, August 11, 2014. She was born January 26, 1920 in Pforzheim, Germany and came to the United States in 1929. She and her husband Karl owned and operated Kocher’s Pork Store in Ridgefield, NJ for many years. She was a member and past president of Fritz Reuter F. Verein and treasurer 1968-2002, member and past president of Canstatter (Women’s Auxiliary) of NY and NJ, The Pascack Valley Hospital Auxiliary and a member of the West Milford Presbyterian Church.

Beloved wife of the late Karl Kocher. Dear sister of the late Fritz Winter and Ilse Knoechel. Survived by sister-in-law of Erna Winter of West Milford, NJ. Loving aunt of Raymond E. Boos and his wife Janet of Fair Lawn, NJ, Barry Winter, and Barbara Winter Sander of West Milford, NJ. Loving grandaunt of Christine Boos Knudsen of West Milford, NJ, Joseph Boos of Holly Springs, NC, Michael Boos of Tinton Falls, NJ, and Ian Murphy of West Milford, NJ. Cherished great grandaunt of Soren Knudsen of West Milford, NJ and Gerrek Boos of Holly Springs, NC.

The family will receive their friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Wednesday, 4-8PM. Service on Thursday at 11AM at the funeral home. Cremation is private.
