

D’AMICO, Salvatore, 82, of Hillsdale, NJ, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2015. He was born in Garfield, NJ to Charles and Rafaela D’Amico. Beloved husband of the late Marilyn D’Amico. Devoted father of Deborah Driggers and her late husband Ray, Charles D’Amico and his wife Robin, Marilyn Iorio and her husband Chris, Sally Sommers and her husband Bob, Paul D’Amico and Renee Kerin. Dear brother of James D’Amico and his wife Carol. He is survived by his ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his grandson Lloyd Driggers. Also survived by his best buddy of over 75 years, Charlie Descarfino. Before retiring he worked for AM International in Summit, NJ. He was a parishioner of St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, Hillsdale, NJ and a member of the Holy Name Cadets, Garfield, NJ, where he played the trumpet. He served our country proudly as a member of the U.S. Navy. The family will receive their relatives and friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Tuesday, March 10 from 2-4 and 7-9PM. The service celebrating Sal’s life and faith will be held at the funeral home, on Wednesday, March 11 at 10AM. Interment will follow at St. Nicholas Cemetery, Lodi, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Sal’s name to the Hillsdale Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
