Stephen is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Anita, his children Rob (and wife Candace) and Leslie (and husband Marc), as well as his grandchildren Dylan, Carson, Cali, Emme, and Andrew. He is also remembered by his late grandchild, Ryan, who passed away 21 years ago.
Stephen worked diligently throughout his life, starting as a lawyer for the government before owning his own apparel company, Robert Charles. He later went on to work for Campus Sportswear and BMW. However, his true passion lay in a 50-plus year poker game that began in law school and continued throughout the years, creating lasting memories and friendships.
In addition to his love for poker, Stephen was also an exceptional cook, finding joy in preparing meals, especially for his family. His culinary creations brought his loved ones together around the table, creating cherished moments filled with laughter and love.
In his free time, Stephen enjoyed watching the Yankees, horse racing, and spending time with his family. He was a strong man, never afraid to show his emotions, and was always there for his family when they needed him most.
Stephen will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love, kindness, and strength, along with the memories shared over poker games and family meals, will live on in the hearts of those he touched. May he rest in peace.
A graveside service for Stephen will be held Monday, August 18, 2025 at 10:30 AM at Cedar Park and Beth El Cemeteries, 735 Forest Ave, Paramus, NJ 07652.
