Susan G. Mei

Susan G. Mei, recently of Goshen, NY, and formerly of Township of Washington, NJ and Woodcliff Lake, NJ passed away peacefully on Tuesday November 25, 2025. Beloved wife of Ralph Mei (deceased), and devoted mother of Maria (and Ken) Bujalski, Stephanie (and John) Davis, David Mei (and Rosanne Walsh), and Daniel (and Linda) Mei. Loving grandmother of Dara Bujalski, John (and Kristin) Davis, Kevin Davis (and Adrienne Richards), Alyssa (and Michael) Melvin, Mary Mei, August Asch-Mei and Oliver Asch-Mei. Susan was also the caring great-grandmother of Evelyn.

Susan grew up during the Great Depression and was a teenager during Second World War. She was one of the first women to get a pharmacy degree from her university. She saw women obtain the right to open a bank account without a man, among many other civil and women’s rights movements of the 60s. She helped run a successful family-owned pharmacy business for more than 30 years and helped set four kids up for success while also getting the time to travel with Ralph. She was kind and accepting of people but was tough and didn’t take any bull. She was two years younger than the Empire State Building, which we consider a pretty good image for the life she lived.

The family will receive their relatives and friends on Friday December 5th from 10-1pm at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood. The private interment will follow at Hackensack Cemetery.
