Township of Washington – Thomas Joseph Markey, 90, of Washington Township, NJ passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, May 7, 2022. Tom was born in Brooklyn and raised his family in Washington Township. Tom was a Navy veteran and served in the Korean War. He received his accounting degree from City College and became a CPA. He was Vice President and Treasurer at National Spinning Company where he worked for decades. Tom volunteered as Treasurer of the Washington Township library and loved puzzles, walks around town and spending time with his family. Tom is survived by his son, Thomas, daughter-in-law, Elizabeth, son-in-law, Emil and grandchildren, Thomas, Christine, Nicholas and Jennifer. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Helen and daughter, Cathy.
The family will hold a private service for immediate family.
