Thomas F. McHugh

Thomas F. McHugh, 67, of Washington Township NJ passed away peacefully on September 4, 2015. Born in Brooklyn, Tom lived in Washington Township since 1978 and prior he lived in River Edge. Tom was a loving husband and father of three. He is predeceased by his father Thomas and mother Katherine, his sister Mary Roach and brother-in-law Thomas Roach. He is survived by his wife Patricia, daughters Maura Busweiler, Casey McHugh and Kerry McHugh, son-in-law Robert Busweiler, brother Kevin McHugh, sister-in-law Shelley McHugh, and grandson Thomas Busweiler. Tom was a graduate of Fordham University and received his MBA from Rutgers University. Prior to his retirement in 2014, Tom was the Senior Vice President of Regulatory and Compliance at Lincoln Educational Services Corporation, a company he had worked at for 14 years. During his time at the company it grew from 13 to more than 40 institutions located in 17 states. Prior to working at Lincoln Education Services Corporation, he was the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance for Boston Education Corporation. He was an active member of St. John the Baptist Church in Hillsdale and served as a member of the Parish Council, Cornerstone team, and Eucharist Minister. Visiting hours will be held on Monday 3-7pm at the Becker Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday 10am at St. John the Baptist Church, Hillsdale, NJ. Burial will follow in Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tom’s memory to St. John’s Human Concerns c/o of St. John the Baptist Church or the Hillsdale Food Pantry.
