William B. Noonan

NOONAN, William B. (Bill), 95, of Nyack, NY, formerly of Lewes, DE and Park Ridge, NJ, passed away on Saturday, November 22nd, 2025. Bill is survived by his beloved children Stephen and his wife Jean, Joanne Rainforth and her husband Gary, Billy and his partner Denis Lloyd and Andrea; his grandchildren Sean, Bryan, Michael, Matthew, Daniel, Kate and Erin as well as his great-grandchildren Liam, Jameson, Josephine, Philomena and Ellis. He is predeceased by his cherished wife of 70 years, Josephine (nee Venere); his son in-law Mark Wallenstein and grandson Stephen.

Bill was the luckiest man on earth to have Jo as a wife for 70 years. After a forty-year career working at Lederle Laboratories, he retired and spent the next four decades side-by-side with Jo. They loved to go fishing together and somehow, Jo always caught the biggest fish. Bill was all too happy to take it off her line. And she was all too happy to cook it up and make it taste delicious. Bill had literally thousands of Sunday spaghetti and meatball dinners from Jo’s special recipe. They continued to enjoy spending time with their growing family of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

A Graveside service will take place on Tuesday, November 25th, 2025 at Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah, NJ at 1PM. Memorial contributions can be made in Bill’s name to the United Hospice at https://unitedhospiceinc.org/donation/
