

Adrian Wishart, A TRUE GENTLEMAN, 75, of Vero Beach, FL, beloved husband of Linda Perkins Wishart, passed away peacefully in the loving arms of his family at his vacation home in New London early on Sunday (February 24, 2008). He was born December 13, 1932 in Bronx, NY, the son of the late Leonard and Inez (Ross) Wishart. Adrian was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving during the Korean War. Prior to his retirement in 1999, Adrian taught and worked his way up to the director of education at the West Haven campus of the Baran Institute of Technology, formerly known as the Technical Careers Institute. His passion for teaching touched the lives of thousands of students. An avid golfer and sailor, Adrian belonged to a number of organizations, including the Plainville Choral Society, the Knights of Columbus (Fourth Degree), and was always faithfully involved with any Roman Catholic Parish to which he belonged. Singing along with his three brothers was a favorite pastime. Including Linda, his faithful wife of 15 years, he is survived by five children: Bill and his wife Angelika, Deb, John and his wife Maureen, Cathy and Chris and her husband Jim; three stepchildren: Ron and his wife Mylee, Kim and her husband Billy, and Danielle and her husband Barry; two brothers Leonard and Edward Wishart and three sisters-in-law Tina, Lola, and Nan Wishart. Adrian is also survived by many grandchildren and nieces and nephews, and special friends Rick and Carolyn Meisner and Kim Wishart. He will also be missed by his faithful canine companions Mitzi and Bishop and his cat Lily. He was predeceased by his older brother Thomas and his first wife Magdalen Barrett Wishart. There will always be a special place in Adrian's family's hearts for the many people who touched their lives, especially the staff at Hartford Hospital, Dr. Takata, Dr. Kallal, Dr Genser, Dr. Laut, Sophie, Maria, Rose, and many others. Funeral services will leave Thursday February 28 at 8:45 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd, Wethersfield for a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick-St. Anthony Church in Hartford. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Calling hours are Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
