

Andrea (Coughlin) Baker, 48, of Old Saybrook, died suddenly on Friday, (July 14, 2006), as the result of an automobile accident. She was born October 4, 1957 in Hartford and was the daughter of the late Howard and Carmela (Nigro) Coughlin. She was a caregiver for many years. Her care and compassion towards the elderly in their time of need was unsurpassed. She was a communicant of St. John's Church, Old Saybrook. Andrea loved soaking up the suns rays. She is survived by her brother, James Coughlin, her sister, Diana Trevethan and her husband, Rick of Newington, her companion, Christopher Sparveri of Old Saybrook, her former husband, Richard Baker of Old Saybrook, loving nieces and nephews, Chris and his wife, Mercy, Heidi, Erica and her husband, Kenny, Ricky and his wife, Jamie, Andrea and her husband, Joe, Lance and Lyle, grandnieces and nephews, Dalton, Emily, Dylan, Olivia, Aiden and Chole, as well as cousins and a host of dear and close friends, among them a very close friend, Lisa Pinder. Funeral service will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. at St. Luke Church, 66 Bolton Street, Hartford. The burial will be in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Calling hours are Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
