

Andrea Antoinette Calabrese, 66, of Glastonbury and formerly Rocky Hill, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 after a long illness. Born in Hartford on January 15, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Andrew Calabrese and Dorothy (Bonadies) Calabrese. Andrea worked for many years at General Plasma. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Hawaii and Florida, and loved babysitting for her nieces and nephews. Andrea was a lover of all animals, but especially her Pomeranian, Lucky. A loving sister, aunt and great-aunt, Andrea will be forever missed by her sister, Elizabeth Romano and husband Joseph of Rocky Hill; three brothers, Charles Calabrese and Carol LaCroix of Marlborough, Andrew Calabrese, Jr. and Pamela Hebbe of Rocky Hill and Nicholas Calabrese of Cape Town, South Africa, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members and friends. She was predeceased by her sister, Lucille Calabrese. The family wishes to thank the three wonderful nurses at Glastonbury Health Care Center, Anthony, Tamara and Ben who took such tender care of Andrea.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday (September 1) at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect St., Wethersfield. Burial will be private and there are no calling hours.
