

Angelo ""Chick"" Ciccarello, 76, of South Windsor, beloved husband of Lydia (Petrella) Ciccarello, passed away peacefully on Friday (March 21, 2008), at his daughter's home in West Hartford surrounded by his wife, son, two daughters and son-in-law. Born in Hartford on December 17, 1931, a son of the late Angelo and Josephine (Serafini) Ciccarello, he had resided in East Hartford for over 37 years prior to moving to South Windsor. Chick was an adored family man who loved his wife, was proud of his children and cherished time spent with his grandchildren. He was a U. S. Army Veteran serving during the Korean War where he also enjoyed playing basketball for the U.S. Army team. Chick was employed for many years at Stanley Works Manufacturing Company in New Britain, as Manager of the Tool Design Department. He leaves behind the comradary, love and friendship of many friends and family and will miss Friday nights spent with his ""poker"" buddies. Chick's favorite memories are those of family vacations by the ocean and the many holiday gatherings filled with love and laughter. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Arthur and Ben Ciccarello, and two sisters, Helen Ciccarello and Lucille Padden. Along with his wife Lydia, he is survived by a son, Steven Ciccarello and his wife Tara of Hebron; two daughters, Cindy Ciccarello of West Hartford and Charisse Canterino and her husband Mike of Goshen, NY; five grandchildren; Jessica Beaulieu, Nicollete Ciccarello, Stevie Ciccarello, Michael Canterino, Tom Canterino, several nieces, nephews and dear friends. There will be no calling hours but the family invites all friends and family to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, March 28 at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick & St. Anthony Church, 285 Church Street, Hartford. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Chick's memory may be made to CT Hospice Home Care, 270 Farmington Ave, Suite 229, Farmington, CT 06032 or to the CT Veteran's Hospital, 287 West Street, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
