

Anna (DeMarco) Del Mastro, 91, formerly of 38 Roslyn Street, Hartford, died Thursday, November 8, 2007 at CT Hospice in Branford. She was born April 29, 1916 in Hartford, daughter of the late Anthony and Jennie (Mascolo) DeMarco. At an early age, Anna and her family moved to Lauro di Sessa, Italy, where she was married and gave birth to her daughter, Anna Maria Ciccaglione. As a young woman she and her daughter immigrated to Hartford. Shortly thereafter her husband was killed in World War II in Europe before he was able to join Anna and their daughter. Anna worked as a dressmaker much of her life. After ?retirement? she worked as an aide in the local elementary school lunchroom for 10 years. She was predeceased by her second husband, Eugenio Del Mastro, and her daughter, Anna Maria Ciccaglione and her brother Luigi DeMarco. She is survived by her son, Anthony Del Mastro and grandchildren, Kevin and Christine Del Mastro, daughter-in-law Susan Del Mastro, her sister Angelina Pauroso, sister-in-law Lucy DeMarco, as well as many nieces and nephews. She spent the last 3 years living in Hamden, at Larson Place, an assisted living facility near her son. Funeral services will be Monday at 9 A.M. from the D?Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd. Wethersfield, with a Mass of Christian Burial 10 A.M. at St. Lawrence O'Toole Church, 494 New Britain Avenue, Hartford, Anna's parish for over 50 years. Friends may call at the funeral chapel on Sunday 4-7 P.M. Burial will be in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Anna?s honor to the Children's Center of Hamden, 1400 Whitney Avenue, Hamden, CT 06517.
