

Anthony D. Kriticos, 76, of Wethersfield, beloved husband for nearly 46 years of Estelle (Tsitsibis) Kriticos, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Monday, September 7, 2015. Born in Peania, Greece on April 22, 1939, he was the son of the late Drakos and Hrisi (Sakis) Kriticos. Anthony was the founder and co-owner of Park Avenue Pizza in Bloomfield for over 40 years. A loving husband, father and grandfather, he will be dearly missed by his devoted wife Estelle; son, Cary Kriticos and his wife Daria of Cheshire; daughter, Chrissy Pikos and her husband Nick of Wethersfield and his four adored grandchildren, Gabriel, Alexander and Lukas Kriticos and Cristina Pikos. Anthony is also survived by his brother, Athanasi Kriticos and his wife Ifigenia of Greece, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Funeral service will be Friday at 11 a.m. at St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 433 Fairfield Ave., Hartford. Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4-7 p.m. with a Trisagion Service at 5:30 at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
