
Anthony L. Riccio, 86, of West Hartford, husband of the late Carmela (Schiavone) Riccio died Sunday (December 3, 2006) at a local convalescent home. Born in Castelfranco en Miscano, province of Benevento, Italy, he was the son of the late Prospero and Lucia (Scinto) Riccio and was a longtime resident of the Hartford area. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He retired in 1984 from the former Hartford Machine Screw Co. after 47 years of service. He loved gardening and enjoyed oil painting. He is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Daniel Prosper Riccio with whom he made his home in West Hartford and Mark Anthony Riccio and his wife, Anne of Wethersfield; a sister, Jennie Serignese of Naples, FL; and two granddaughters, Marie and Karen Riccio. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother, Daniel Riccio. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the healthcare staff at Maple View Manor in Rocky Hill. The funeral will leave Thursday at 9 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd. Wethersfield with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Helena's Church, Echo La., West Hartford. Burial will be in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
