

Beverly Louise Newton, 80, of Wethersfield and Ludlow, VT, died suddenly at home on Tuesday (January 17, 2012). Born on January 10, 1932 in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late C. Brown and Bertha (Camp) Newton. Bev was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retired as Vice President/Manager of Computer Operations at Advest, Inc., where she was employed for more than 25 years. An enthusiastic member of RVing Women (AKA ""McGyver""), she was an 11-year survivor of breast cancer. She is survived by her companion of 43 years, Marilyn Gagliardi of Wethersfield; her sister, Barbara Halliwell; two nephews, John and Bruce Halliwell; great-niece Donna Halliwell and Donna's son, great-great nephew Bryan, all of Windsor Locks. Bev also leaves her beloved dog, Tigger.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield with the Reverend T. Michael McDowell officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in Village Cemetery Wethersfield. Family and friends may call on Friday from 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
