Beverly A. Sipala

Beverly A. (Forgetta) Sipala, 80, of Rocky Hill, beloved wife for 47 years of the late Salvatore Sipala, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 28, 2024. Born in Hartford on November 25, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Peter J. Forgetta, Sr. and Mary (Mingo) Forgetta. Beverly was a graduate of Bulkeley High School and went on to become a Registered Nurse, graduating from St. Vincent Hospital School of Nursing in Bridgeport. Over the course of her career, she worked for Hartford Hospital, Middlesex Hospital and Connecticare, and she was very dedicated to her vocation. She enjoyed baking, going to the beach and traveling the world with her husband. She cherished her nieces and nephews. Her family meant everything to her.

Beverly will be forever missed by her sisters-in-law, Julia Forgetta and Santina Sipala; her dear nieces and nephew, Gina (John) Uricchio, Thomas (Margaret) Forgetta, Christina (James) Reilly and Maria (Scott) Cafro; nine adored grand-nieces and grand-nephews, Ally, Johnny, Nikki, Andrew, Anthony, Giuliana, Ella, Michael (Liz)and Laura (Cliff) and her cherished great grand-nephew, Brooks. She was predeceased by her brother, Peter Forgetta and her brother-in-law, Michele “Mike” Sipala. The family would like to thank the staff of Jefferson House in Newington for their special care.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, June 4 from 9-10:15 a.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. James Church of St. Josephine Bakhita Parish, 767 Elm Street, Rocky Hill. Entombment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. In lieu of flowers, donations in Beverly’s memory may be made to St. Josephine Bakhita Parish.
