
Charles W. Cline, 73, of East Hartford, loving husband of Jane (Russo) Cline, passed away on Thursday, (February 5, 2009) at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford with his caring family by his side. Born in German Township, PA on September 1, 1935, a son of the late Milton H. and Pearl (Dice) Cline, he had been a resident of East Hartford since 1967. Prior to his retirement, Charles was employed for over fifteen years by Sealtest Ice Cream, Co., and later by Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Co., East Hartford for several years. Charles was a former member of the East Hartford Elks Club, an avid reader, and an individual who enjoyed solving many crossword puzzles. Besides his parents, Charles was predeceased by two brothers, Edward Cline and Roy McMonigal both formerly of Pennsylvania. Along with his beloved wife, Jane, of forty-four years, Charles is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth 'Liz' Mayerson and her husband, Brent, of Bolton; a brother, Harry Cline of Indian Head, PA; two sisters, Mary White of Champion, PA, and Maxine Bennie and her husband, William, of Brockway, PA; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Wednesday (February 11th) with a graveside service at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Cemetery-Mausoleum, Burnside Avenue, East Hartford. There are no calling hours.
