Concetta S. (yacone) Vinickas

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandma and great grandmother, Concetta S. 'Connie' (Yacone) Vinickas on Monday (March 22, 2010). She was born in Hartford on December 8, 1925, daughter of the late Biagio and Antoinette (Marcello) Yacone. She was the wife of the late John Vinickas. Connie was employed by and retired from Loring Studios in Hartford in 1990 after many years. She was a communicant of St. Augustine Church and a member of the Barry Square Senior Center. She leaves her beloved daughter and son-in-law, Frances and Donald Bysko and beloved son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Anna Vinickas, all of Colchester. She also leaves four cherished grandchildren, Melissa Elliott and her husband, Scott, Thomas Bysko and his fiancé Emily Trayes, Jessie Vinickas and Michael Vinickas; three great granddaughters, Olivia, Arianna and Bailey Elliott. She also leaves her devoted sister, Anne D'Esopo; brother, George Yacone; sisters-in-law, Guilia and Wanda Yacone and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was pre-deceased by her siblings, Mary Furlong, William Yacone and John Yacone, her sister-in-law, Rachel Yacone and her brothers-in-law, William D'Esopo and William Furlong. She was most proud of her family and this gave her great joy. Connie's family would like to thank the staff of Apple Rehab in Colchester for their kindness and compassion during the past three years. Friends may call at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield on Thursday, March 25 from 8:30?9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, 10 Campfield Avenue, Hartford. Burial will be in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
