Cynthia A. Brown

Cynthia A. Martin, 55, of Newington, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, (November 29, 2006) while on vacation with her friends in her favorite place, Aruba. She was born March 29, 1951 in Hartford and is the daughter of Mary (DiBella) Martin of Newington, formerly of Wethersfield and the late Jerome L. Martin. She was a graduate of Bulkeley High School. Cynthia was employed by the State of Connecticut, Environmental Protection for over 38 years. She was a former parishioner of St. Peter's Church, Hartford. Cynthia loved to travel, especially to Aruba, where she spent many happy times. She was a lover and protector of animals. Cynthia will be dearly missed by her many friends and family. Besides her mother, she is survived by two brothers and a sister, Dennis M. Martin and his wife, Maryanne of West Hartford, Jerome L. ""Jerry"" Martin of East Hartford and Nancy P. Nash and her husband, Dennis of Florida, nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Andrea, Jonathan, Lauren, Krista, Tria, Ashley and Lawrence. Besides her father, she was predeceased by a brother, Lawrence Martin. Calling hours for Cynthia will be Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd, Wethersfield.
