

Cynthia Anne (Brisbo) Kaplan, (81), of West Hartford, loving wife of the late George B. Kaplan, passed away peacefully December 15, 2016 at home. She was born April 6, 1935 in Hartford and was the daughter of the late Albert W. and Anne (Wilson) Brisbo. Cynthia grew up in Hartford and was a graduate of Bulkeley High School. She was formerly employed as a design coordinator for Stan Fisher, FIP, Corporation and later an office manager for of an accounting firm retiring in 1986. Cynthia always enjoyed working with kids and for many years she mentored students at the University of Hartford. She and her husband enjoyed several years of traveling together, in addition Cynthia was a setback aficionado, never missing the opportunity to play a hand or two. Cynthia also liked her golf game and was extremely proud of her two holes in one! She is survived by her four children, Enoch C. Brady, Rebecca D. Casasanta and husband, Joseph, Rachel A. Barrett and husband, Thomas and Jonathan C. Brady and his wife Alexandra, a sister, Gail C. Westermeyer as well as eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren and daughter-in-law Nancy Brady. Cynthia was predeceased by her son, Christopher A. Brady. A Memorial Service for Cynthia will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield. Burial will follow in Village Cemetery, Wethersfield. There will not be any calling hours. Donations in Cynthia's memory may be made to the George B. and Cynthia A.
