David Adams Willard

David Adams Willard, 61, of Middletown, son of the late Chester A. and Carolyn (Mack) Willard, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 26, 2017 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. David was born in Hartford on April 26, 1956. He graduated from Wethersfield High School in 1974 and was a graduate of National College, Rapid City, South Dakota. He also served in the U.S. Navy. David previously worked for Prototype Plastics. His hobbies included exotic tropical fish and he was a collector of many things. He is survived by two brothers, John Willard and wife Patti of Enfield and Roger Willard and wife Sue of Wethersfield; one sister, Marji Willard of Landrum, SC; his nieces, Morgan Griffin and husband Adam and their children, Caitlyn and Ryan of Colchester and Valerie Willard and her children, Trevor and Marissa of Wethersfield, as well as many extended family members and friends. The family wishes to extend special thanks to Middlesex Hospital Oncology and the Masonicare Acute Medical Hospice Unit. A Memorial Service will take place at 4:00 p.m. in the First Church of Christ Memorial Garden, 250 Main Street, Wethersfield on Thursday, June 8, 2017.
