Diana C. (Schiavone) Mornolfi

Diana C. (Schiavone) Mornolfi, 82, of Wethersfield, beloved wife of the late Lando F. Mornolfi, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, January 19, 2016. Born in Hartford on March 20, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Marie (Martorelli) Schiavone. Diana worked in the Wethersfield School System for more than 30 years. She was a longtime faithful communicant of Corpus Christi Church, Wethersfield and a member of the Women's Club. She played fife with the Colonel John Chester Fife & Drum Corps. Diana loved being with people, especially her family and friends. A loving mother and grandmother, Diana will be dearly missed by her two devoted daughters, Ann Marie Bazzano and husband Timothy of East Hampton and Barbara Bagley of Wethersfield and her four adored grandchildren, Jonrobert Bagley, Justin Bazzano, Spencer Bazzano and Monica Marie Bagley. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Jean Ann Schiavone. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Apple Rehab for the care, love and compassion shown to Diana and her family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Hwy., Wethersfield. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. Family and friends may call on Friday prior to the Mass, from 9:15-10:15 a.m., at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
