

Eleanor (Laraia) Bonadies, 98, of Wethersfield, beloved wife of the late Nicholas Bonadies, passed away peacefully on Monday (November 7, 2016). Born in Hartford on August 19, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Gennaro and Maria (LaCava) Laraia. Eleanor’s life revolved around taking care of her husband and sons. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she will be dearly missed by her son, Gerry Bonadies and his wife Margie of Melbourne, FL; 11 adored grandchildren and 12 cherished great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, James J. and Jeanine Laraia of Florida; three sisters, Carmela LeConche, Louise Pistorio and Theresa Zisk; daughters-in-law, Linda Bonadies and Margaret Bonadies, brother-in-law, Chester Zocco; sister-in-law, Julie Laraia, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Eleanor was sadly predeceased by her two beloved sons, Charles “Chuck” Bonadies and John Bonadies; her granddaughter, Nicolé Bonadies; six brothers, Rocco, Frank, Pasquale, Dominick, Anthony and John Laraia and three sisters, Petrina Zocco, Rose Bonadies and Anna Veniscofsky.
The funeral is Thursday, November 10th at 11:30 a.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
