Elizabeth E. (Murphy) Carver, 86, of West Hartford, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2020. Born on July 5, 1934 she was the beloved daughter of the late Aloisious and Mildred (Zundell) Murphy. Elizabeth proudly served during the Korean War with the United States Air Force and was an active member of the American Legion, as well as the Women Marines Association. She retired from the United States Postal Service in 1992 after 28 years of service.
Elizabeth is survived by her brother, Thomas Murphy and his wife Lucretia. She was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Lynn Carver; four brothers, James E., Marshall A., Frederick T. and Dennis F. Murphy and four sisters, Eilleen M. Beck, Noreen E. Souza, Patricia A. Chapman and Catherine B. DelMonte.
Due to the current health crisis, a graveside service with military honors at Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill will be private by invitation only.
