Emma ""Midge""(Gifford) Miller, 93, of Newington, loving wife of the late Claude Miller, died peacefully Thursday December 29th, surrounded by her loving family. She was a long time Newington resident, and was an avid reader and gardener,and enjoyed needle arts and rug hooking. Midge is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Jacqueline Shipka Miller of Ohio; her daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Robert Pfund of Wethersfield; four grandchildren; Blake and Derek Miller, Jennifer and Kevin Pfund and three great grandchildren, Jacob, Katelyn and Lucy Miller. Relatives and friends are invited to graveside funeral services on Tuesday January 3rd at 11:00 a.m. in Section 21 at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 453 Fairfield Ave. Hartford. There are no calling hours.
