Frances Boisvert of Wethersfield, loving wife of Martin Boisvert, passed away on Saturday (April 17, 2010) at Hartford Hospital, after a brief illness. Fran was known and loved for her compassion, energy, dedication to friends and family, and strength of character. Most of all, she was a proud wife, mother, and grandmother. Fran was born in Hartford on May 4, 1928 to Polish immigrants Marcella and Frank Chudzinski, and graduated from Hartford Public High School in 1946. Her courage, determination, and conviction provided constant inspiration to her family and friends. A deeply religious woman, Fran was a faithful communicant at Corpus Christi Church, and enjoyed helping others. For many years she assisted in placing people from Poland in caregiver positions. She was proud of her Polish heritage, and maintained ties with relatives and friends in Poland. Besides her beloved husband, Martin, of fifty-six years, Fran is survived by a son, Paul Boisvert and his wife, Ann Kiley, of Burlington, VT; three daughters, Linda DeStefanis and her husband, Ken, of Rocky Hill, Barbara Farnsworth and her husband, Robert, of Vernon, Valerie Comeau-Palmer and her husband, Matt, of Marlborough, MA; a sister, Martha Zawacki of Glastonbury; and nine special grandchildren, Matthew Boisvert, Nicholas Boisvert, Erin and Carl DeStefanis, Amber and Timothy Comeau, Nathan and Ryan Palmer, Ryan Farnsworth.
