After graduating from Smith College in 1948 she attended Columbia University Library School, graduating in 1951. She then worked at the Brooklyn Public Library before taking her position at the Yale Law School where she worked for over 40 years. She was a longstanding member of the Quota International Club of New Haven and Asylum Hill Congregational Church in Hartford.
She is survived by her niece, Christine Woods Kitto, and her nephew-in-law, Richard Kitto, and three great nephews, Lucas, Clifford, and Martin of Princeton, New Jersey.
A private graveside service was held at the Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford.
