

Fritzie Sposito, 93, of Wethersfield and Old Lyme, wife of the late Chick Sposito, passed away peacefully, Monday, June 19, 2017 at home with her family by her bedside. She was born August 19, 1923 in Hartford and was the daughter of the late Michael and Helen (Morgan) Mooney.
Fritzie enjoyed spending time with her sister, Kate, watching UCONN Women’s Basketball and the New York Yankees, but most of all she loved caring for her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Shelley Biancamano and husband, John “Jack” of Wethersfield, Chuck Sposito and wife, Tami of Waterford and Paul Sposito and wife, Nikki of Wethersfield, 8 grandchildren, Lori Biancamano, Kerry Coppola and husband, Michael, Kim Hrapchak and husband, Les, Jennifer Sposito and wife, Christina, C.J. Sposito, James Sposito, Paul M. Sposito and wife, Rebecca and Gina Prestia, 9 great grandchildren, Sofia, Avery, Isabelle, Cole, Skylar, Lucas, Sydney, Matthew and Grace as well as many nieces and nephews. A very special thank you to the Hartford Healthcare at Home Hospice nurses, Jodi and Joyce and aides, Shawn and Kadian for the love, care and support shown to Fritzie and her family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday (June 21) at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect Street, Wethersfield. Everyone is asked to please go directly to church. There will be no calling hours. The burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill.
