

Gale W. Cuddy, 38, of Cromwell and formerly of Wethersfield, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday (August 16, 2011). Born on May 31, 1973 in Manchester, he was the beloved son of Kathy (Andrews) Hudson and her husband Moe of Wethersfield and spent most of his life in Wethersfield before moving to Cromwell four years ago. He was a 1991 graduate of Wethersfield High School and a 1996 graduate of Elon University in North Carolina. For the past 14 years, Gale was employed by UBS Financial Services, Inc. of Hartford, working his way up to the position of Account Vice President where he served as a Corporate Stock Benefit Consultant with their Advisory & Brokerage Service. He was a loyal fan of the Boston Red Sox and an overall sports enthusiast. He coached many years for the Wethersfield Midget Football League and also was a mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters. Gale loved life and was loved by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Besides his mother and stepfather, he is survived by his brothers, Lance Cuddy of Hartford, and Tom Cuddy and his partner Rosey, along with their children, Leah, T.J. and Kenzie of South Windsor. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Ma-Rae Andrews of Hudson, ME and a large extended family, many friends and co-workers.
Funeral service will be Monday (August 22) at 11 a.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
