Georgia (arvanetaki) Hughes

Georgia (Arvanetaki) Hughes, 91, of Wethersfield, wife of the late Philip T. Hughes, Sr. died peacefully Monday, (September 1, 2008) at her home. She was born April 17, 1917 in Enfield and was the daughter of the late Constantine and Fannie (Zavraniou) Arvanetaki. Georgia spent her life caring for her family and will always be remembered as a loving mother, wife, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be sadly missed. She is survived by two sons, Philip T. Hughes, Jr. and his wife, Joan of Martha's Vineyard, MA and Robert B. Hughes and his wife, Christine of Wethersfield, a brother, George Arvanetaki and his wife, Estelle of New Hampshire, a sister, Mary King of Chicago, IL, grandchildren, Philip T. Hughes, III and his wife, Jill of Auburn, NH, Dana Hughes of Martha's Vineyard, MA, and Kelly Hughes-Liao and her husband, David of Chicago, IL, and great grandchildren, Philip T. Hughes, IV, Morgan Hughes and Iris Liao. Georgia is also survived by special friends Amber and Brianna Eckel. She was predeceased by a son, John Hughes and two sisters, Beatrice Peck and Jane Darzentas. Funeral and burial are private at the convenience of the family.
