Giuseppe Vallera

Giuseppe “Joe” Vallera, 75, of Newington, beloved husband for 35 years of Claire (Michaud) Vallera, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 14, 2017. Born in Pratola Peligna, province of L’Aquila, Italy on January 13, 1942, he was the son of the late Domenico and Mariannina (Frattaroli) Vallera. Joe enjoyed watching soccer, gardening and chopping wood. A loving husband and brother, he will be forever missed by his loving wife Claire; three brothers, Franco Vallera and wife Rita of Italy, Giovanni Vallera and wife Maria of Wethersfield and Livio Vallera and Paula Prata of Wethersfield. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Denise D’Aloisio and husband Marc of East Hartford, as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends, both here and in Italy.

Calling hours will be Tuesday (November 21) from 4-6 p.m. with a prayer service at 5:30 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. Burial will be private.
