Giuseppe Zocco

Giuseppe ""Joe"" Zocco, 82, formerly of Wethersfield, husband of the late Lucia (Buccheri) Zocco, died Thursday, February 25, 2016 with his family by his bed side. He was born January 10, 1934 in Augusta, Italy and was the son of the late Paolo and Rosalia (Gallo) Zocco. Joe was employed by the MDC, retiring several years ago. He was an avid gardener, liked playing cards, enjoyed watching all sporting events and was a longtime member of the Canicattinese Society, Hartford. He will be sadly missed and finally be reunited with the love of his life, Lucia. He is survived by his four children, Sebastiano Zocco and wife, Kathleen, Rosalia Zocco-Buzash and husband, Steve, Lucia Zocco and Paolo Zocco and wife, Debra, grandchildren, Paolo Zocco, Jr., John Bazzano, Jr,. Taylor Donovan, Joseph Zocco, Logan Donovan, and twins, Karissa and Marliese Zocco, sisters, Santa, Anna and Lucia, brothers, Salvatore and Vincenzo, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Santo and Bicia Buccheri as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Vincenza. Calling hour will be Friday (March 4) from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd. Wethersfield with a Funeral Prayer Service at 1:00 p.m. The burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill.
