After 79 years the Holy Spirit came and lifted Helen “Fran” Frances (Bradley) Wright’s soul to heaven on Ash Wednesday, (March 9, 2011). Glastonbury was home for most of her 50 year marriage to her predeceased beloved husband, Joseph “Joe” Robert Wright. Born in West Simsbury, Fran was predeceased by her parents, Helen Alice (Leonard) Bradley and Frances “Frank” Benson Bradley and her sister, Irene Bradley Daden. Fran is the mother of three children, three sons-in-law and “granny” to four grandkids; Leslie Ann Wright Choquette, her husband James “Jim” E. Choquette and their sons John and Evan Choquette of Rocky Hill, Alice Ann Wright Goodrich, her husband Brian J. Goodrich and their children Breanna and Joseph Goodrich of Rocky Hill, John Joseph Wright and Robert Logan of Tolland. Fran is also survived by her brother-in-law, Henry Daden and her four nieces with spouses and their kids, most of whom live in CT: Karen Daden and Carol Pekar, Lynn Daden Agresta and Tom Agresta, their daughters and their families, Susan Daden George and Timothy George and their sons and Margaret Daden Carr and Tim Carr and their children; her brother-in-law, John “Jack” Baldwin Wright, Jr. and his wife Tessa from California and Jack’s surviving daughter, Jocelyn F. Wright. Fran was a 1949 graduate of Mount St. Joseph Academy and attended Paier College of Art and Design while also working for the American Radio Relay League. She also worked in human resources in the family’s industrial wholesale business, the Hartford Sanitary Products Company. Her creative talents were many: decorating, sewing, painting, gardening, floral arranging, caring for her family, favorite hobby was embroidery and crewel work stitching. Fran was a foster mom for many Fidelco German Shepherd dogs. Like her husband, Fran supported efforts to save wolves, whales, oceans, bird species, the environment and people in need. Donating to churches and the Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation was always encouraged. As a servant of the Lord, Fran volunteered at First Church of Christ, Wethersfield, in many capacities including Sunday Luncheons, Coffee Hour, Steeple People, Bridge Building, Outreach Gift Shop, Inreach/Outreach Boards, supporting church concerts, becoming and serving as a deacon.
