Helen (Bogacz) Morris

Helen (Bogacz) Morris, 98, of Wethersfield, formerly of Hartford, loving wife of the late John Morris, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 9, 2018. Born in Hartford on December 6, 1919, she was the daughter of the late John and Sophie (Cebula) Bogacz and had lived in the area all her life. Helen worked for many years at the State of CT Revenue Department in the lottery division. She enjoyed bingo and bowling. Helen and John loved going dancing and dining out in their younger days and traveling together. She liked working and always keeping busy. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Helen will be forever missed by her daughter, Diane Morris; eight adored grandchildren, Amanda Morris, Craig Morris and wife Marie, Christopher Morris, Stephanie Ochoa and husband Will, Karen Judkins, Cindi DuBois and husband Alan, James Morris and John Morris and nine cherished great-grandchildren and two great great granddaughters. She was sadly preceded in death by her beloved sons, John Morris, Jr. and James Morris; four brothers, Fr. Francis Bogacz, Walter Bogacz, Andrew Bogacz and John Bogacz and her great-granddaughter, Genevieve Morris.

Funeral services will be Monday (April 16th) at 10 a.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, New Britain.
