Irina Savic (Urban)

Irina (Urban) Savic, 86, of Wethersfield, beloved wife of Nicolai Savic, passed away on Sunday, (March 17, 2013) at her home. Irina was born in Kharkov, Russia on June 17, 1926 to George and Anna Urban. Irina worked for Travelers Insurance Co. for 27 years. She enjoyed her garden, sewing and Cape Cod vacations, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Irina is survived by her husband of 65 years, Nicolai; her son, Michael and his wife Anna and their daughters, Talia and Marisa; son, George and his son Zachariah and her daughter, Anna Manningham and her husband John along with their children, Johnny, Nikki and Jordan.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, at 9 a.m. at St. Panteleimon Russian Orthodox Church, 19 Becket St., Hartford. (Everyone is invited to go directly to the church.) Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
