James “Jamie” Michael Pasqurell passed away on May 11, 2017. Born in Hartford on May 19, 1971, Jamie was the son of Rosemarie (Farinella) Filanda of Portland and James Pasqurell, Jr. of Aurora, North Carolina. Jamie attended school in Hartford and graduated from Portland High School in 1989. Jamie was pre-deceased by his maternal grandparents, Giuseppe and Rosina Farinella and his paternal grandparents James and Joyce Pasqurell. Left to mourn his passing is his beautiful daughter, Nicole Pasqurell who he adored and loved dearly. Nicole was also his inspiration for life and the one who brought him the most happiness, love and admiration. Jamie’s face would light up like a ray of sunshine whenever Nicole’s name was mentioned or he was able to brag about her accomplishments. Many people who never met Nicole felt as though they knew her well as a result of Jamie’s constant description of her that he conveyed with an enormous level of pride. Also left to grieve as a result of his untimely death are his loving twin brother, Joseph Pasqurell of Collinsville, his step father, Peter J. Filanda of Portland, step mother, Gail H. Pasqurell of North Carolina, brother, Peter T. Filanda and his wife Christine of Portland, brother, Matthew Pasqurell and his partner Holly Sigsworth of Little River, South Carolina and his sister, Katie (Pasqurell) Wilson and her husband Kevin of Fayettville, North Carolina and his sister-in-law, Teriann Couture Pasqurell. Jamie also leaves several aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces, Alexa, Giana, and Anna Pasqurell and nephew, Lucas Filanda. Jamie also leave behind numerous friends who will miss his smiling face, loving and caring personality and his unique gift of making people feel loved when in his presence. Jamie had a passion for the outdoors, especially fishing with his dad, brothers and friends. Music was another love of his and his knowledge of the classic rock era bands was quite extensive. Jamie was also blessed with a talent for computer technology and routinely saved the day for friends and neighbors by tending to their personal computer issues. Thanks to Jamie’s calming demeanor, he had the unique ability to relax his dad as well as others when their anxieties and frustrations got the better of them. Jamie also possessed a sincere love for his step-dad Pete step-mom Gail, brothers Joe, Peter, Matt and sister Katie. Jamie’s love of family, friends and even casual acquaintances was an inspiration for those that were fortunate to have him in their lives. Whatever he was capable of doing for others he did without hesitation; often lending a hand or a kind word in time of need. Jamie was always there regardless of the issue at hand.
