

Jean Marie Formica, 51, beloved wife of Santo Formica, of East Hartford died suddenly on Saturday (October 11, 2008) in Hartford. Born in Hartford, daughter of Joseph Bordonaro of Hartford and the late Lucille (Formica) Bordonaro, Jean lived in Hartford most of her life before moving to East Hartford 15 years ago. She was employed at Hartford Hospital for 27 years, a member of the Hartford Hospital Ladies Auxiliary and a volunteer for three years at Hartford Hospital. Jean loved the holidays, family gatherings, picnics, swimming, going to the casino and dancing. Her family was most important to her and more than anything, she loved her granddaughters and how they made her life so happy. Besides her husband of 15 years and her father, Jean is survived by a sister, Nina Inglitera and her husband Giovanni and their sons Steven and John Michael of Wethersfield, three stepsons; Salvatore Formica of Hartford, Joseph Formica of Manchester and Robert Formica of Boca Raton, FL, a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Cosimo and Josephine Calderone of East Hartford; four grandchildren, Nico, Chelsea, Kaitlyn and Courtney as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Funeral will begin Wednesday (October 15) at 9:00 a.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd, Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Luke Church, 66 Bolton St, Hartford. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill.
