Jean Thomson, 82, of Ocoee, Florida, sadly passed away on November 14, 2010 at home. She was born September 18, 1928, in Hartford, the daughter of the late Arthur Thomson and Sara ""Sally"" St. Clair. She graduated from Bulkeley High School in Hartford in 1946, and earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Syracuse University in 1950. She was a life member of the Sigma Kappa Sorority. After almost twenty-five years of State Employee service, she retired from the State of Connecticut as a Field Supervisor and Controller, to later take an executive assistant position with a chief executive officer of AIG/New Hampshire Insurance. Following thirty years of residency in Wethersfield, she relocated to sunny Florida to dodge the New England winters. Her love of music and concert piano playing accomplishments have been enjoyed for decades by her friends and family. As a five year committed Volunteer, she filled the Health Central Ocoee Hospital atrium twice weekly with seasonal piano melodies that added a smile to all faces. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Patti Thomson of Windermere, FL. Calling hours for Jean will be Friday (November 19) from 5-8 p.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield with a service at 7 p.m. officiated by Reverend Jonathan Lee.
