

Jenny (Mylek) Myler, 88, of Wethersfield, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday (January 23, 2014). Born in Hartford on September 20, 1925, she was the daughter of the late John and Sophia Mylek and had lived in the area her entire life. Jenny worked for the Governor’s office and the Department of Health, retiring as Administrator of the Board of Mediation and Arbitration at the Labor Department, where she worked for more than 25 years. She was a member of the CT State Employees Association and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Post #9836 in Newington. Jenny was a longtime faithful communicant of the Church of the Incarnation, Wethersfield. She is survived by her son, Graham Hoagland and Arlene Trimarchi of Milford; her daughter, Jennifer Lee Taubman and her husband Elliot of Block Island, RI and her adored granddaughter, Rebekka Taubman of Los Angeles, CA. In addition to her parents, Jenny was predeceased by her sister, Helen and her brother, Edmund.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at the Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect St., Wethersfield. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday prior to the Mass, from 10-11 a.m., at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
