Joan (Henderson) Campbell Mortensen

Joan (Henderson) Campbell Mortensen of Wethersfield passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2016. She was the beloved wife of the late Hugh P. Campbell and Einer Mortensen. She was born in Waterbury on March 7, 1931 and a resident of Wethersfield since 1961. Joan was the daughter of the late Edwina (Pomfret) and George E. Henderson. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the State of Connecticut Department of Income Maintenance. She is survived by her brother, Frederic Henderson and his wife Nancy and her children, Karen Blackburn and husband Samuel, Donna Lee Campbell, H. Patrick Campbell, Judy Switalski and husband James, Mark Campbell and wife Carmela, Jane Sylvester and husband Steven, and grandchildren, Christopher and Bryan Pierce, Kier, Brynn, and Hallie Campbell, Sean and Victoria Campbell, Matthew and Alicia Switalski, Jennifer Horan and Michele Covert and two great grandchildren. Joan was loved and cherished by all. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
