

John S. DiBenedetto, 73, of Hartford died unexpectedly Thursday, (February 22, 2007) at home. Born in Hartford he was the son of the late John and Josephine (Zappulla) DiBenedetto. He was a graduate of Bulkeley High School, the University of Connecticut and earned his Masters Degree from the University of Hartford. He was an educator in the Hartford Public School system for many years, retiring several years ago. He is survived by his son, John DiBenedetto of Cromwell, his two daughters, Teresa Cerasoli of Manchester, Wendy Hill and her husband, William of Mansfield, Massachusetts, his sister, Marian (Tina) Garber and her husband, Marvin of Hallandale, Florida, four grandchildren, Stefanie and Matthew Cerasoli of Manchester and William (Alex) and Julia Hill of Mansfield, Massachusetts as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Mildred (Lena) Seraphin. Funeral Service will be Monday, February 26, at 9:15 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd. Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Luke's Church, 66 Bolton Street, Hartford.
