

Joseph Frank Gentile, 77, of Wethersfield, passed away on (February 24, 2011) with his family at his side after battling a long illness. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on small building projects, golfing, and spending time with his family. He was a great handyman and took great pride in remodeling his home. He had a long and successful career at Hamilton Standard as a Chief Draftsman, from which he retired after thirty-nine years. Joseph was a loving and dedicated family man. His kind heart and gentle spirit will live with us forever. Joseph is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Wilma Gentile; his two sons and daughter-in-law, Joseph Gentile and John and Judy Gentile; his four grandchildren, Jamie, Joseph, Nicholas and Gabrielle; his mother, Martha Gentile; his sister and brother-in-law, Maria and John Arcari; his nephew, Greg Arcari and niece, Lisa and husband, Jeff Krawczyk. Joseph is also survived by many loving relatives on his wife's side of the family. Joseph was predeceased by his father, Joseph F. Gentile, his nephew, Dr. John Arcari, and his daughter-in-law Laura Gentile. Funeral services will leave Monday February 28 at 9:15 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield, for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Heart Church, Wethersfield. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. Joseph's family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday from 3-5 p.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel.
