

Joseph “Pippo” Tralongo beloved husband of 54 years to Charlotte (Mackowsky) Tralongo passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 5, 2017 after a long courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma. Born February 12, 1933 in Floridia, Sicily, Joseph immigrated to Canada in 1951. He followed his family to Connecticut in 1962 and proudly became a US Citizen in 1967. He was a talented Stone Mason for more than 40 years. He was a member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Union-Local #1 and longtime member of Italian American Stars. He loved gardening, cooking and watching black & white cowboy movies. Joseph is survived by his three children, daughter Joanna and husband John Camilli, daughter Linda and husband Bruce Padden and son Joseph Tralongo. Six cherished grandchildren Jonathan, Sarah, Ryan, Eric, Alexandra and Emilee. He is also survived by brothers, Sebastian, Victor, Hector and sister Josephine. He was predeceased by his parents Salvatore and Sebastiana Tralongo and sister Carmela. Special Thanks to his caregivers at West Hartford Health & Rehabilitation Center. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 8-10 a.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect Street, Wethersfield with the burial immediately after at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
