Juan Ruperto Vazquez

Juan was born in Guayama, Puerto Rico on January 31, 1934, son of the late Prudencio and Ramona (Martinez) Vazquez. He worked at Trinity College. Juan Vazquez did everything he could to provide for his family. He would work many hours to make sure that his children did not go without. He loved to cook for his family. He is famous for his delicious cooking. He loved to spend time with his family just joking around, having deep and silly conversations, and making his beautiful wife Ramonita Alavarez-Vazquez very happy.

As his grandchildren and great grandchildren were born and came into the picture, he showed his loving, compassionate, and silly side. To him they were all his children as he was called daddy or tata by all. Some of his favorite things to do was having conversations with his children Miguel, Sonia, Nelba, and Lucy. Having fun times with his grandchildren Wanda, Miguel L, Miguel V, Michelle, Josue, Eliezer, as well as with his great grandchildren. Watching WWE Monday Night Raw, Smackdown Live, and the various Pay Per Views with Josue and Son-In-Law Angel, and having discussions about what was happening. Juan Vazquez loved to go to church and serve God. He walked the path given by Jesus Christ. He spent his mornings fasting, praying, praising God, and studying his bible. Juan Vazquez was truly a prayer warrior who fought his battles praying on his knees. Juan Vazquez was truly a man like no other. He was a gentleman, a husband, a father to many, and a loving and caring brother to his brothers and sisters in Christ. He will truly be missed.

Juan is survived by a son, Miguel Vazquez (Wife Traci Vazquez) of Florida, three daughters, Sonia Lisboa of East Hartford, Nelba Mercado (Husband Angel Mercado) of Manchester and Luz Vazquez of Manchester as well as 6 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren.

Besides his parents, Juan was predeceased by his sister, Nelba Vazquez.

A Funeral Service will take place at 10:00am on Friday at D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield, CT 06109. Burial will follow at East Cemetery, Manchester. The public may visit the family on Thursday from 3:00pm – 5:00pm at the Funeral Chapel.
