

June Bordieri, 91, of Wethersfield, beloved widow of Jack J. Bordieri, passed away unexpectedly on Ash Wednesday, March 5, 2025. Born in Hartford to the late Rocco and Mary Bell, June was raised in Wethersfield.
After graduating from CCSU, June began her teaching career at Emerson Williams School and continued at Naylor Elementary School. Being named Apple Teacher of the Year was one of many highlights spanning 23 years in the classroom. “Those who read succeed” was June’s favorite quote!
Jack and June raised their three children, Janice, Mary-Jo and John in Wethersfield while spending their summers at Lake Hayward. June loved baking, tennis, duckpin bowling, NYC and Boston bus trips, The Red Hat Society, Bridge and Liverpool, reading, Yankees baseball with Jack and winter months at their Jupiter, FL home.
She is survived by her two daughters, Janice and partner Larry and Mary-Jo; her son, John and her wonderful grandchildren, Melissa, Kyle, Justin, Angelena, Jonnathan, Julia and Jisella. Also mourning are her sisters, Fran Dunn, Beverly Corraccio, Donna (Joe) Crossman and Andrea Mazzola; her brother, Roy (Ruth) Bell; sister-in-law, Ellen Bell and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including John and Pat Gondek, Dot Ragonese, Joyce McKenzie and Merva McGuire. In addition to her husband Jack and parents, June was predeceased by her, brothers Joe and Richard Bell; sisters-in-law, Jean Bell and Marie Bordieri; brothers-in-law, Patsy Corraccio, Richard Dunn, Charlie Mazzola and Joseph Bordieri and dearest friends, Sal and Ginny Bazzano. A special “thank you” to Barbara Silva for her compassionate care these past seven months and the Sullivan Family for their many years of neighborly love.
