
Lucille Mary (Ballard) Osinski, 93, of Hartford, wife of the late Edward J. Osinski, died Wednesday, September 25, 2013 in Hartford. Born in Syracuse, NY, she was the daughter of Michael and Mary (Melillo) Ballard and moved to Simsbury in 1991. She was employed as an assistant dietitian at Syracuse University for 17 years. Lucille also worked as a nurse’s aide early in her working career at Crouse- Irving Hospital in Syracuse and also worked at Ballard & Company, the family tailoring business. Lucille was also a proud volunteer at the American School for the Deaf in West Hartford. She was a member of the Lincoln Republican Club and Assumption Church in Syracuse. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Anne Coffey of Hartford; a sister, Anna Marie Ballard of Syracuse; two grandchildren, Jennifer Pizzoferrato and her husband Emilio of Wethersfield as well as Justin Coffey of Hillsdale, NY; three great grandchildren, Ava, Emilio and Scarlett. Lucille was predeceased by two brothers, Frank and Edward Ballard. Funeral services and burial will be held in Syracuse on Saturday October 5, 2013. The D'Esopo Funeral Chapel of Wethersfield is assisting the family with arrangements.
