Lynn Aseltine

Lynn (Derby) Aseltine, 65, of Rocky Hill, the most kind, caring, generous women, and beloved wife for 42 years of Christopher Aseltine, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Hartford on July 12, 1956, she was the daughter of the late George and Lorraine (LaPorte) Derby. Lynn grew up in Newington and was a 1975 graduate of Newington High School. She enjoyed doing crafts, spending time with her constant companion Tabor, riding her Vespa scooter, boating every weekend, and spending time in Vermont.

A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Lynn will be forever missed by her husband Chris; three children, Timothy J. Aseltine and Jameson A. Aseltine, both of Rocky Hill and Nicole L. Charette and husband David of Granby and her adored grandson, Joseph Masella. She is also survived by her sister, Gayle Derby of Kingston, Ontario and a host of extended family and friends, as well as her cherished “four-legged child,” Tabor, who was always by her side. In addition to her parents, Lynn was sadly predeceased by her beloved granddaughter, Makayla Aseltine. Family and friends may call on Friday, April 1 from 4:30-7:00 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 2 at 11 a.m. at the funeral chapel.
