

Manuel Angel Robles, 62, of New Britain, formerly of Hartford, passed away on Wednesday (October 21, 2009). He was born January 14, 1947, in Ma ati, Puerto Rico, the son of the late Carmelo Robles and Gloria Valdez. Manuel was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He owned and operated a gas station on the corner of Park Street and Hudson Street in Hartford prior to opening the former Manny's Café on Park Street in Hartford. He was a member of the Moose Club Lodge #723 in Hartford. Manuel is survived by his three daughters: Melissa Robles of New Britain, Marisela Robles of New Britain and Jennifer Robles of Puerto Rico; a brother Raul Robles of New Britain; two sisters, Olga Robles-Rivera of Wethersfield and Valerie Robles of Hartford; two adored granddaughters, Larissa and Alyssa; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Funeral services will leave Saturday, October 24, at 9:15 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Peters Church, 160 Main Street, Hartford.
